Reviews and Ratings
I chose this hotel thinking it was in Otaru itself, but it turned out to be a couple of train stops away, which was a bit inconvenient. While the hotel has a beautiful ambiance and is very clean, I found the mall connected to it doesn't open until 10 am, meaning I had to go outside to reach the train station during early hours. The staff was excellent and accommodating, but the extra commuting cost and time were drawbacks.
We had a wonderful three-night stay at the hotel, which served as a perfect base for exploring Otaru and its stunning surroundings. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, particularly the deluxe ocean view upgrade we received. While the location was convenient, being connected to a shopping mall, it was slightly distant from the main attractions. We appreciated the prompt and helpful service from the staff, especially during an emergency with our child’s health. However, the dining options closed early, making breakfast in the hotel a better choice for early risers.
The hotel offers spacious rooms with dramatic views, although they do feel a bit dated. Breakfast is decent with a wide selection, but I found the flavors to be average. It’s conveniently connected to a shopping mall, making access to amenities easy. However, the rigid check-in policy and distance from downtown Otaru are downsides.
Staying at this hotel was a delightful experience, especially with the stunning sea view that added a serene touch to our trip. The rooms were spacious and clean, providing a comfortable retreat. It's well-connected to a shopping mall, making it super convenient. We were blown away by the quality of the dining options, particularly breakfast, although some might find the furnishings slightly dated. Overall, excellent value for money considering the quality of our stay.
The hotel offers comfortable accommodations with a beautiful ocean view, which is perfect for exploring the town. However, the breakfast situation was quite frustrating due to long lines, and there were several issues with the room, including a lingering smoke smell and faulty amenities. Overall, it was a decent stay, but the hotel has room for improvement.
